Increasingly, the need to adapt and meet social, professional and family demands places constant physiological and psychological stress on the body which can cause acute and chronic disease. Increasing stress can mobilize the autonomic nervous system (ANS) causing a decrease in parasympathetic activity, and consequently a decrease in heart rate variability (HRV). Measurement of HRV is non-invasive, assesses the variation between each heartbeat, and is an indicator of the behavior of the ANS. Tension Trauma Releasing exercises (TRE) encourages the body to release deep muscle patterns of stress and tension and can influence the ANS.
TRE®
Developed by Dr. David Berceli, this simple set of movements that everybody can practice accesses a powerful, natural stress release mechanism in the body. In these sessions we will activate and regulate neurogenic tremors, empowering you to release stored tension. This enables both your body and mind to properly recover from stress. People report feeling relaxed, more balanced and energized after each session. Some even describe it as a full body self massage! And it is perfect for those who are looking for stress relief without meditating.
In each TRE session you will
– mindfully release stress in a supportive environment
– learn the science behind TRE
– learn how to self regulate your nervous system, body and mind utilizing TRE
– learn how to practice on your own in order to to a keep regular stress release practice
Over time you will gently release tensions, stress and even trauma both from the body and mind for a more clear and balanced life.
